Affordability

Cancer treatment under Ayushman Bharat, explained.

If your family holds an Ayushman card, cancer surgery, chemotherapy and hospital admission can cost you nothing — up to ₹5 lakh per family, per year. Here is how it actually works, without the jargon.

Who is eligible

PM-JAY covers families identified in the government's SECC database and, in Uttar Pradesh, several extended categories. If anyone in your household has an Ayushman card — or you are unsure whether you qualify — bring whatever documents you have and our counsellor will check your status on the official portal in a few minutes. Checking costs nothing and does not commit you to anything.

What is covered for cancer

  • 01Cancer surgeryOperation, surgeon, anaesthesia, operation theatre and implants under approved packages
  • 02ChemotherapyDrug cycles administered as daycare or admission, per approved protocol
  • 03Hospital admissionBed, nursing, medicines and food during the covered stay
  • 04Pre- and post-hospitalisationDefined windows of tests and medicines around the admission

How the process works with us

Every hospital in the CoreOnco network — Lucknow, Hardoi, Sitapur, Raebareli, Amethi and Lakhimpur Kheri — works with the scheme, so eligibility can be checked and treatment planned at whichever centre is closest to you.

  • Step 1Bring your card and reportsAyushman card (or ration card / SECC details), biopsy, scans — whatever you have
  • Step 2We verify and pre-authoriseOur counsellor confirms eligibility and files the pre-authorisation with the insurer — you sign, we do the paperwork
  • Step 3Treatment goes aheadApproved packages are cashless: no deposit, no bill at discharge for covered treatment

What we will always tell you honestly

Not every single item in every treatment is always inside a package — occasionally a specific implant, drug or investigation falls outside cover. If that happens in your case, you will be told the exact amount in writing before treatment, never after. No surprise bills is a policy, not a slogan.

Common questions

My card is from another district. Does it work in Lucknow?
Yes. PM-JAY is portable across India — a card issued anywhere in UP or any other state works at any empanelled hospital.
I don't have a card but I think we qualify. What do I do?
Come anyway, with your ration card or Aadhaar. Eligibility can be checked on the official portal, and if your family is in the database, the card can be generated — our counsellor will guide you through it.
Is there a limit?
₹5 lakh per family per year, shared across family members, renewing every year. Most cancer surgeries and chemotherapy courses fit within it; if a plan risks exceeding it, we tell you before starting and look at the CM Relief Fund for the gap.
What if I am not eligible for PM-JAY at all?
UP state employees and pensioners have the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay cashless scheme, and teachers the Mukhyamantri Shikshak cashless scheme. The CM Relief Fund, CGHS/ECHS for government and defence families, and private insurance cover other situations — and our counsellor will find whichever applies to you. Start with a conversation, not a bill.
Next step

Send us the biopsy report. We will tell you where you stand.

A second opinion costs you nothing and often changes the plan. Share your reports on WhatsApp and a surgical oncologist will review them before your first visit.
